1975: Group of Christians meeting in Barton for mid-week fellowship and Bible study.
April 1977: Most of the group decide to start an Evangelical Church
October 1977: Barry Shucksmith becomes honary pastor
February 1978: The old Queen Inn building was purchased and renovation begun
April 1978: Barry Shucksmith becomes part-time pastor
August 1978: Church affiliated to the FIEC
January 1979: Induction of Barry Shucksmith as the first full-time pastor
September 1980: First sevice held in new building
October 1981: Barry Shucksmith moves to Liverpool
November 1989: Induction of Gareth James as pastor
September 2015: Gareth James moves to Doncaster
June 2017: Jeff Higgins commences ministry as the third pastor (formal induction on 16th September)
